LSC VFD BBQ

The Little Swift Creek Volunteer Fire Department will be having a BBQ Pork Sale on Saturday, March 28, 2009 from 11:00 a.m. until all BBQ is sold.
The Sale will be held at the Main Station in Askins, located on Highway 17 between Vanceboro and Bridgeton.
The plates will sell for $6.00 each and include BBQ, slaw, and hushpuppies.
As always, the Department thanks you for your support as they strive to serve the communities of Askins, Antioch, Caton, and Ernul.
Watch for signs on Highway 17.

Car Hits Tar Bridge

Little Swift Creek VFD was called to a wreck on Aurora Road at Tar Bridge on Monday, January 19, 2009. A car was demolished as it struck the metal bridge safety railings. The driver of the vehicle refused to be transported to the hospital.

Car Wreck/Fire

Little Swift Creek VFD was called to a car wreck and fire on Hills Neck Road. The call came in on December 19 at about 4:30 a.m.
The car flipped and caught fire at Mr. Isaac's Curve (between McRay Whitford's home and Bill Robinson's home).
The driver of the black Ford Taurus could not be found.
